GUT CHECK
1 GRAM OF GINGER
WHY THIS INGREDIENT?
The backstory
Ginger is the underground stem of a plant native to warm parts of Asia. It has a long place in cooking and traditional remedies for indigestion and stomach discomfort.
What’s been studied
Researchers have studied nausea and stomach movement. Evidence for nausea is strongest in pregnancy-related studies. A small study using 1.2 g ginger found faster stomach emptying, but no improvement in digestive symptoms. Gut Check contains 1 g; these studies did not test our blend.
Why it made the cut: 1 gram of ginger, measured and ready for a shot, warm tea, or smoothie. No peeling. No chopping. No juicing.
